Company history
CCV, established in 1958, has been involved in electronic payments right from the start. The first PIN terminal in the Netherlands was installed in 1989. This ushered in an enormous growth in the processing of transactions for petrol and credit card organisations. The first loyalty system embodying complete transaction processing was introduced in 1992.
In 2007, CCV was certified by Currence as an Acquiring Host Processor, allowing the company to process pin transactions as a payment facilitator for banks. Besides processing transactions for credit, petrol, private label and loyalty cards, CCV is the market leader for payment terminals in the Netherlands. This diversity of specialisations allows CCV to offer its customers total solutions.
Today, CCV is an international organisation with offices in the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany and Switzerland. Taking market leadership across national frontiers resulted early 2009 in a complete rebranding with a uniform look and feel that makes CCV internationally recognisable and acknowledged as a single brand. CCV became an official payment institution under the supervision of the Dutch Central Bank in 2011.
