CCV granted permit by Nederlandsche Bank
Market leader in point-of-sale terminals now official payment institute
Arnhem, 18 May 2011 – De Nederlandsche Bank (DNB) has granted CCV a licence for running the business of payment institute. According to DNB, CCV meets the requirements for payment institutes, which should secure confidence in the financial sector.
CCV Holland B.V., market leader in point-of-sale terminals and a specialist in transaction processing, is now formally a payment institute. This licence was granted on the basis of the Financial Supervision Act. By virtue of the European Payment Service Directive, the legislation of European Member States must impose requirements on payment institutes. Among other things, these requirements emphasise ethical and controlled business operations, in order to keep confidence in the financial sector at a high level.
More specifically, it means that CCV can carry out payment transactions and that it can issue and accept instruments of payment. "An absolute milestone for CCV", says Pascal Vincken, Managing Director. “CCV has been processing PIN transactions since 2007, and it is a rapidly growing company in this segment. In addition to processing transactions with credit cards, petrol cards, private label cards and loyalty cards, we offer our clients a total solution with the processing of debit transactions. Reliability and safety have always been our priority, and we've proven that again."
