CCV takes over Acceptis Softwareentwicklung GmbH

CCV extends its offering in the field of software development

Munich, Hamburg, 29th October 2009 – CCV, one of the leading solutions suppliers for electronic payment systems, announces the takeover of Acceptis Softwareentwicklung GmbH with effect as of 29.10.2009.

The Acceptis Softwareentwicklung GmbH was founded in 2006 and is considered one of the most innovative suppliers of software solutions for intelligent representation of payment processes and credit card transactions on the German market. Its most outstanding product is the solution "acCEPT,“ which is used by leading retailers and is so far the only product of its kind also approved for use as a Terminal Application Server in Germany.
"As one of the most state-of-the-art, hardware-neutral solutions, acCEPT is the perfect addition to the CCV portfolio. I look forward to accompanying and driving the growth of the company and the internationalisation of the product with all the possibilites CCV has at its disposal,“ said Rolf Ostheimer, founder and present CEO of Acceptis.

acCEPT offers retailers and chain stores a modular and extremely versatile transaction platform which can easily be integrated into existing IT topologies. In combination with the CCV terminals, for example the PIN-Pad MPP-B43, it offers the user all the possibilites of a high-performance POS system. These include rapid processing of traditional chip and swipe card transactions as well as the handling of gift cards, pre-pay topups and bonus systems.
The server-based acCEPT solution will make a considerable contribution to reducing the need for large software downloads directly to terminals and offer significant cost-saving potential for operators.
"As providers of innovative and future-oriented solutions in the field of transactions, the products and know-how of Acceptis round off the CCV portfolio perfectly. The launch of a PCI-conform server concept comes at exactly the right time. Networked and coded IP solutions are the key to the future and to ensuring safe payment processes. Together with Acceptis, we will be making our contribution to this with new ideas and concepts. We look forward to welcoming the powerful and highly motivated Acceptis team on board!“ said Huub Janse, CCO of CCV.
CCV will take over the Acceptis management team, the entire workforce and the Hamburg facilities and integrate them into CCV Deutschland GmbH.
Rolf Ostheimer, founder of Acceptis, will head the division as Director of acCEPT Server Solutions in Hamburg and in this function, will report directly to Reinhard R. Blum, CEO of CCV Deutschland GmbH.
