Frequently Asked Questions about EAA for Partners and Integrators
What will CCV do to prepare for the EAA?
CCV is aiming for all our payment solutions offered after June 28, 2025, to meet the accessibility standards outlined in the EAA. This includes updating terminal software, adapting hardware where needed and providing detailed support to our partners and integrators.
What will CCV deliver to support compliance?
We will provide:
- Updated terminals with built-in accessibility features.
- Technical documentation detailing compliance specifications.
- Guidelines and tools to assist with the integration of EAA-compliant solutions.
- Ongoing updates to ensure alignment with regulations.
What is my role as an integrator and what is CCV's role?
As an integrator, you are responsible for ensuring that your end solution complies with EAA regulations. CCV offers a range of EAA-compliant payment solutions, but it is still possible to purchase non-compliant terminals for integration. However, keep in mind that any new integrated solutions introduced to the market after June 28, 2025, must be fully EAA compliant.
What changes will CCV make to its terminals?
Our terminals will be enhanced through a software update featuring:
- Voice-guided navigation for better accessibility.
- High-contrast displays for improved readability.
Already available on certain terminal models:
- Tactile support for smoother interactions.

What about the terminals we have in stock?
Resellers can continue to sell stock purchased from CCV before June 28, 2025, as these terminals have already been placed on the market.
How should we handle terminal repairs?
As a partner or integrator, you can continue using stock of non-compliant terminals during the grace period. The length of the grace period might vary within the EU: e.g. in the Netherlands and Belgium it is 20 years, in Germany it is 15 years. During the grace period, repairs and servicing for these devices remain available.
Where do I find the actual EAA Directive?
You can find the actual directive on the following website: Directive - 2019/882 - EN - EUR-Lex
What happens after June 28, 2025?
After the deadline, all new payment solutions sold after June 28, 2025 must comply with EAA standards if sold and placed on the market in the Europan Union. Non-compliant systems will no longer be permitted for sale or installation.
